About Us

St Ives Glass Studio was established about eight years ago in the heart of St Ives by glass artists Sally and Adam Carver. Here we make a gorgeous range of sea inspired glass jewellery and fused glass art hangings. You can come along and watch us transform Murano glass rods in the flame into our unique creations most days. We are a working studio combined with a lovely gallery space that features a fabulous collection of handmade glass.

Sally Carver has been making lampwork glass beads since 1999, having trained with Diana East - one of the pioneers of glass bead making in the United Kingdom. Sally has also studied extensively including training with the legendary Lucio Bubacco in Murano to bring the ancient skills of the Venetian lampworkers to the United Kingdom - adding our own unique Cornish twist to our work.

We are proud to be perhaps the only studio in the United Kingdom that features the ancient technique of "lampworking" - or shaping glass in a naked flame. We demonstrate our glass making skills on most days (except for Wednesday and Saturday) and welcome our customers watching us at work.

St Ives Glass studio is located right in the heart of St Ives, in a pretty little courtyard called Cyril Noall Square - which is just off Fore Street. We're easy to miss so do keep a look out for our little Courtyard while in St Ives.
